Meet the Goulet Golf Club Executive

Larry Morrison

President

The duties of the President include:
 
  • Preside over all executive & general Meetings.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the club’s management
  • Maintain a working relationship with the City of Regina Recreation Department.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Mike Keogan

Vice-President / Club Captain

The duties of the Vice President/Club Captain include:

  • Responsible for Golf Canada Memberships
  • Responsible for administering the World Handicap Program
  • Responsible for verifying handicaps for members when they are going to tournaments requiring an official Golf Canada handicap card.
  • Responsible for helping interpret rulings that may arise.
  • Responsible for MAP proposals
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Fill in for the President in his/her absence.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Guy Campbell

Treasurer

The duties of the Treasurer include:
 
  • Maintain financial records of the Adult, Junior and Capital account, using accepted accounting standards and practices.
  • Maintain current listing of membership, including e-mail addresses, addresses and phone numbers (provided by membership registration forms).
  • Print, distribute and present financial statements at membership meetings (April & September).
  • Arrange with financial institution for 2 of 3 executive signatures required on all cheques.
    Provide financial information at executive meetings.
  • Ensure Golf Sask Membership fees are paid in full and on time.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Loretta Stevens

Secretary

The duties of the Secretary include:

  • Record and present the minutes of the spring and fall general meetings.
  • Record and distribute minutes from the executive meetings.
  • Provide assistance to other members of the executive as required.
  • Schedule executive meetings and announce agenda.
  • Ensure all outstanding action items from previous meetings are included in the next meeting’s agenda.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Tiffany Viczko

Social / Prize Director

The duties of the Social Director include:

  • Responsible for organizing social functions for members (ex: booking banquet facility for the wind-up/Flag Event)
  • Update plaques and trophies in the clubhouse from the previous season.
  • Order prizes for Club Championship and Flag Event winners
  • Use unused credits to the club in the pro shop at year-end; these are for prizes the following year
  • Attend executive meetings
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Judy Kanak

Communications Director

The duties of the Communications Director include:

  • Update website with club information.
  • Create and distribute newsletters and announcements, via email.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.

Marina Cain

Ladies Representative

The duties of the Ladies Representative include:

Meetings:

  • Arrange special events for ladies only (i.e. wine & nine, honey bee, etc.).
  • Organize qualifier for Ladies Pro-Am, Interclub and Rosebowl.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Solicit suggestions from the membership.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Inter-Club Tournament

  • Ensure entry fee and registration for teams is provided to the tournament committee
  • Every 4th year when the Goulet Club holds the event, coffee and muffins for the golfers must be arranged with kitchen staff. Assist committee with events.

George Grassl

Men’s Representative

The duties of the Men’s Representative include:

  • Arrange special events for men (i.e. fun tournaments, weekly skins game).
  • Organize qualifier for Men’s Pro-Am.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Solicit suggestions from the membership.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Junior Director | VACANT

The duties of the Junior Director include:

  • Promote junior golf at the Goulet and all levels of competition
  • Assist in junior events
  • Run clinics & lessons
  • Help junior golfers be familiar with the rules of golf at a professional level
  • Provide a competitive venue for young adult men and women
  • Provide a resource centre to enable junior golfers to obtain golf scholarships for university or college
  • Dedicate to helping junior golfers by providing instructional, comprehensive, and competitive programs which develop character, and sportsmanship and provides additional lifelong benefits.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.

Tournament Director | VACANT

The duties of the Tournament Director include:
 
  • Organize tournament schedule for the year, including the format of play. Print and distribute.
  • Book tournaments with the golf course manager
  • Lead Tournament Organization: Add announcements to the bulletin board, do up draw, print up rules and attach to scorecards, print up scorecards, print up results sheet, arrange for marking course (if required), arrange for proximity pins, do scoring on results sheets, determine winners, allocate gift certificates with golf course manager, and/or prizes with Social/Prizes director.
  • Assist with Club Night Organization: Determine the format of play for all club nights, print and distribute; arrange for scorekeepers, determine winners and allocate gift certificates with golf course manager.
  • Attend executive meetings.
  • Assist with scorekeeping during club nights and tournaments.
  • Assist members during club nights and tournaments.
